Custody and Records Offices
Route the question by record type. The elected county jailer operates the detention center; the Webster County Sheriff is a separate office and is not identified as the jail operator.

Choose the matching path:
- For one released person or the underlying admission and release record, begin with the full Webster County search and records path.
- For community supervision, use Probation & Parole and District 13. No Webster walk-in office is published.
- For same-day names, note that no county release feed was verified; use Jail Releases: 24 Hours for the documented fallback chain.
- For timing or alerts, compare Projected Release with VINELink Inmate Search.
- For a facility record, use the detention center page. Restricted/nonsecure records route through the same jailer operation.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use KOOL and KDOC. Include the full name, date of birth, or DOC number in a records request.
- For a federal or immigration case, use the BOP locator or ICE locator only when that authority applies.
KDOC's current policy lists ten cents per released paper page, one dollar for a CD plus postage, and about $2.50 for a USB plus postage, normally prepaid. Confirm current cost before ordering. The court clerk holds the signed Webster case file, while the jail holds the actual local release event.
